Fallout 2: A Post Nuclear Role Playing is a role-playing game released in 1998, developed by Black Isle Studios and published by Interplay Productions. This sequel offers a much larger game world and a more intricate storyline compared to its predecessor. It retains similar graphics and gameplay mechanics as the original Fallout. Players can enjoy the game on both Microsoft Windows and Mac operating systems. The production team includes Eric DeMilt and Feargus Urquhart, with programming by Jesse Reynolds.
Set in the year 2241, Fallout 2 takes place approximately 80 years after the original Fallout and 164 years following the devastating atomic war that left much of the world in ruins.
The narrative follows The Chosen One, the grandchild of the Vault Dweller, on a mission to rescue their peaceful tribe from the small village of Arroyo, located on the West Coast of the United States, founded by a group of former Vault 13 residents.
