Janosik was a legendary Slovak highlander rogue. According to folklore, he robbed nobility and distributed the loot to the needy, much like Robin Hood. The game is based on common traditions about Janosik receiving rare magical gifts (typically) from witches. These goods provided him with superhuman strength, bullet resistance, and the ability to jump over trees. In some traditions, Janosik fights supernatural beings.
