Do you recall Outcast - A New Beginning? Yes, I understand. I've been informed that nobody remembers Outcast. That's okay, though, because Outcast: A New Beginning is an open-world action game that proudly embraces sci-fi camp, even if you've never heard of the 1999 original. It takes place in a world that I can describe as "Avatar with the budget and feel of Stargate SG-1, except you have a jetpack and nobody takes anything seriously."

Its primary plot is a bit disorganized, and there are far too many pointless fetch quests and tasks that might have been eliminated. In the end, it redeems itself with a crazy toybox of fun weapon mods that we can mix and match till we break it, as well as a collection of mobility skills that are uncommon outside of Just Cause games that we can use to pass the time while traveling from point A to point B.

Since most of us who played the original 1999 Outcast probably don't remember it much, I won't go into great detail comparing it to A New Beginning. "Wait, did I play this?" was the question that came to me when I looked up the plot synopsis on Wikipedia.
