The Excavation of Hob's Barrow Game, is Thomasina Bateman, an antiquarian, is preparing a book about England's barrows, detailing the treasures she discovers buried inside. She travels by train with her helper a day behind when she receives an exciting letter calling her to the tiny settlement of Bewlay, which is nestled in the isolated countryside.
