Astria Ascending takes place in Orkanon, a world where harmony is maintained by strict social rules and the use of “Hermelin.” Peace, however, comes at a high price. The world is protected by the Faith Eight, a group of gods chosen from various races who are granted great power but cursed to die just three years after their ascension.
The story begins as the current 333rd generation of gods enters the last three months of their lives. As they prepare for their “ascension” (death), a sudden wave of “whispers,” chaotic creatures that threaten the balance of the world, force them into one final, desperate struggle.
